Ricardo Morcillo is a Spanish light and new media artist, architect, and creative director exploring the intersection of physical and digital environments. His practice transforms architecture and public spaces into immersive and interactive experiences, where light, technology, and human presence become part of a shared narrative. His work invites audiences to move beyond observation and become active participants in the experience. His installations have been presented at international festivals including Noor Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Bright Brussels (Belgium), and LUZMadrid (Spain). Alongside his artistic practice, he contributes to the development of light art and design culture through academic teaching, lectures, cultural initiatives, and specialized publications. He studied Architecture at the University of Alicante and Lighting Design at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. He is a Senior Professional Member of the Professional Association of Lighting Designers (APDI).
