Hola,

Hello,

my name is Ricardo Morcillo, lighting designer and architect.

In 2009 I decided to graduate as a Lighting Designer at the Hoogeschool Van Amsterdam at the same time that I finished my architecture studies.

That same year I was fortunate to be awarded the “Red Pavillion” lighting installation of the lighting festival “Nuit du Feu” (Domaine de Chevetogne, Belgium). That wonderful personal experience made me wake up my passion for artificial lighting and it was the turning point that led the professional career around the light.

Currently I am dedicated to the advice and development of lighting projects for architectural studios through the calculation of lighting and constructive solutions necessary for its correct execution.

In parallel I work in the creative lighting studio Pinball Lighting Design, founded in 2012 together with the architect Sergio Ramos.

I try to be in constant learning by keeping alive the culture of light through the dissemination and organization of workshops and conferences as Cultural Coordinator JAB (COACMAB).
