Trace
TRACE can be presented in two different projection modes, depending on the space, scale and desired experience. Both versions transform visitors’ presence into temporary portraits that become part of the surrounding environment.
TRACE ONE
A single video portrait takes over the surface, creating a powerful and intimate presence within the architecture or landscape. Each new participant replaces the previous portrait, renewing the work.
TRACE COLLECTIVE
Multiple video portraits coexist within the same projection, appearing, disappearing and shifting across the surface. The result is an evolving collective composition shaped by those who take part.
TRACE can be experienced through two simple interaction modes, allowing visitors to enter the work either through a dedicated station or directly from their own phone.
TRACE TOTEM is a dedicated capture station with an integrated camera and screen. Visitors approach the station, record a short video portrait and then move away to discover themselves projected into the surrounding space.
TRACE QR is a lightweight mobile access mode that allows visitors to enter the experience through their own phone by scanning a QR code. They record a short video portrait and then step away to discover it appearing within the surrounding space.
TRACE is highly adaptable, designed to inhabit architecture, landscape and public space. Its visual composition responds to the geometry and character of each site, allowing portraits to inhabit windows, trees, walls and other surfaces and become part of the environment itself.
TRACE is fully scalable, adapting the number, scale and distribution of portraits to the dimensions, geometry and character of each space — from intimate interventions to large-scale collective compositions.
Our presence is temporary. The trace remains.
