Portraits of the Wild
The work was conceived as a tribute to the extraordinary diversity of the natural world and to those species whose voices may one day fall silent forever. Through light, it gives visible form to sounds that normally remain unseen, inviting viewers to pause, listen, and contemplate.
Rather than depicting animals, the installation allows their own voices to create the image. Each visual landscape emerges directly from sound, establishing an intimate dialogue between nature, technology, and perception. Light becomes a medium for revealing both the beauty and the fragility of a sonic heritage that deserves to be preserved.
Portraits of the Wild is presented in two complementary formats. The large-scale installation uses projection onto a translucent mesh, immersing viewers in an environment where the voices of nature seem to materialize in space. The smaller-format version translates the same concept into a framed artwork—a living portrait in which each sound generates a luminous composition that continuously evolves.
